Home Visits/Outeach

Every child who attends the Centre receives a home visit from a teacher/team leader. This enables staff to start to make relationships with the child and family in surroundings where the child feels confident and secure. Further home visits may take place in order to discuss children’s progress or to address particular issues. Some concerns/difficulties experienced by families are best addressed in the home. Where this is the case a programme of Outreach is agreed with the family and staff will go into the home for a time-limited period to offer support and to help families address identified issues.
